Klaus Hommels Becomes Head of NATO Innovation Fund’s Supervisory Board

With the boom in the United States, many young growth companies are choosing to go public through IPOs via SPACs. SPACs raise capital from investors and then go public without an operating business. The goal of SPACs is to find promising target companies and then take them public via a takeover. While SPACs have been popular in the US for many years, they have also been met with criticism in Europe and Germany. Klaus Hommels, a venture capitalist and entrepreneur, is now importing SPACs to Europe to reduce reliance on innovation and technology funding in the US and China. He believes IPOs through SPACs can help fill the huge funding gaps for promising technology companies.
