Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel explained his decision to take off Harry Kane with six minutes remaining in the UEFA Champions League semi-final defeat to Real Madrid. Tuchel said the injured England captain “could not continue”. Bayern Munich were 1-0 up and had one foot in the final, 3-2 on aggregate, when Tuchel replaced Kane with backup option Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
