Difference Between Pvc Butterfly Valve And Pvc Diaphragm Valve
May 10, 2023 ⚊ 1 Min read ⚊ Views 90 ⚊ BLOGWhen it comes to controlling the flow of fluids in a pipeline, two common options are PVC butterfly valves and PVC diaphragm valves. Although both valves are made of PVC, they have distinct differences in their design and function.
A PVC butterfly valve is a quarter-turn valve that uses a flat circular disc as the closing mechanism. The disc is mounted on a rod that passes through the valve body. When the valve is closed, the disc is turned perpendicular to the direction of flow, blocking the flow of fluid. When the valve is open, the disc is rotated parallel to the direction of flow, allowing fluid to pass through the valve.
